Infertility Myth [BUSTED]

I posted awhile ago how I was going to take part in the National Infertility Awareness Week Myth Buster, well here is my Myth that I picked:

Most People Get Pregnant Easily

FACT: Not true, because every 1 in 8 couples have issues getting pregnant. My husband and I were one of those eight couples, not that we were 'trying'. Yet we weren't not 'trying'.For someone people yeah it might be easy, but not for everyone.  I have tons of friends that have been trying or where trying and never did get pregnant... I don't call that easy. There is nothing easy about getting pregnant even if you are fertile.

My favorite thing I have read about this whole getting pregnant is easy was this "Becoming pregnant is not like getting that promotion at work or saving money to buy a house—results are not proportional to the effort, whether it is on your own or with medical intervention. It is more like gambling in Las Vegas, except that you have a better chance at success with conceiving." Baby Zone 

It is a lot like gambling, you can chart every day, you can take you temp, you can have sex on the right day and still nothing. Charting isn't easy. Taking your temp is easy, but every day its not easy. Sex can be easy, but having sex on the right day isn't easy. Like I said before its not easy! It can be the hardest thing in ones life.
So take the time and spread the word about infertility because it needs to be a more known thing. Everyone who deals with infertility will agree... its not EASY!
