Snowman Work Out

Yup you have read that right, this morning we were greeted with snow. The news on my way into work today said "This snow will taper off and it will warm up and melt." They were wrong. We now have at least 4-6 in. on the ground and it sucks. I am at least glad that it hasn't stuck to the roads yet and that they are just rather wet now. O well, we do live in Alaska and it doesn't depress me anymore that it snows in April. If I didn't snow in April I would think there were something wrong.

So to get to my snow man work out...My dear hubs has never made a snowman... your thinking he must have grown up somewhere were there wasn't any snow. Nope. He has lived in Alaska for a majority of his life. I guess he just didn't think snow man making was 'cool'. So tonight we suited up and headed out to make the beautiful snow into a giant snowman. Little did my hubs know that when you start to gather snow into a ball that it actually does get heavy. It took the two of us (without fighting might I add) to push the bottom ball. (I know who you are if you are giggling right now... and I was doing it all night.) Man though, rolling three balls this big (check out the photo) is a real work out. I might just have burned more cals then a normal work out. And the best part was that it wasn't cold outside.

I wouldn't have done this normally if I had to work in the morning, but I don’t. I am hoping my job gets canceled because I am suppose to do an outdoor all school photo... o'boy that is going to be fun if I have too. Can you imagine an entire elementary school outside in the snow, not throwing snow balls (stop laughing). And I have to be on the school roof.

Okay time to go finish 500 Days of Summer with the hubs. Hope your day is a little more 'springish' then mine will be.
