The Eve of My Golden Birthday

Tonight is the eve of my golden birthday, if you didn't figure that out from my title:) I remember as a kid around the age of 8 when my friend had his golden birthday and it was the first time I ever had heard of this whole 'golden birthday' thing. Its amazing to think back to that day when I was most likely thinking "wow I still have a long way to go." Well that day is tomorrow. I am growing up so fast it's crazy! I don't even know why they are golden, besides that I am 26 on the 26th? So I wanted to look up the tradition behind it... this is all I found "A person's Golden or Grand Birthday, also referred to as their "Lucky Birthday", "Champagne Birthday" or "Star Birthday", occurs when they turn the age of their birth day" Duh!
I share my birthday with two different friends, growing up one of the friends who is the same age as me [I am 3hrs older than her]and I would always fight about who got to have their birthday party first. I don't remember how we worked it out, I just remember we always fought about it. The other friend is a few years older then me so we never fought about it:)

Today I went down town with some dear friends of mine [one who is moving soon] and we had a girls day out...+ Oliver. We went to lunch at Brew House and I got a Smoked Pulled Pork BBQ sandwich with a salad [yay me] and not fries. Then we headed to our local Saturday Market and walked around.

It was nice to get out and do something other then sit at home or be at work on a Saturday! Oliver rode around in the stroller for awhile then got bored so I put him in my Moby wrap and he was much happier! I bought myself a gift which was a knitted head band and an akstarfish co. sweatshirt. Which I am modeling in the picture below.

All in all it was a splended day out in the clouds! I am not going to go write my update for the 100 Days I am doing. Hope all is well in blog land.
