Running in the rain... I think NOT.

So today started out wonderful and sunny, so I put on a skirt and flip-flops. While my sister and I were out buying things for the baby shower this weekend ( no not mine) it started to get cloudy and cold. As soon as we got back from lunch with my parents (who are visiting) it was really cold, so I called my MIL and asked if I could come up and use the treadmill. As I was heading to the house it started to POUR. Thank goodness I didn't go running at home, because it would have been short lived. Don't get my wrong I love me some rain, but only when I am inside enjoying the sound.


I didn't work out extremely hard today, but I did walk/run 1.7 miles and burn around 315 cals. Who knows if those cal counters on the machines are accurate? Also I managed to do 100 sit-ups. I don't know how many you can do, but for me that is a lot. I really need to start working on my tummy, so I think I am going to go old school and get the 8 Minute Abs and Arms DVD again. I use to do that back when I was 16-17 and I actually got a 6 pack from it; unless you ladies have something else in mind that is better and more up today. Not that I don’t like watching chicks in really 90's apparel... it makes me laugh.

Work is slowing down, but I found out the other day that I have to talk infront of around 400 h.s. graduates on Friday for work. EEEEKKKK! I have never had to do anything like this. I am going to be sweating like crazy! At least it’s only for 10 minutes and since they are seniors they could careless. O and on top of that, the hubs leaves next week for work. I really am not looking forward to saying goodbye for the summer. We hope he will be closer to home, but that’s a bad thing because then we can't make bank on per diem.
